Peaks and Hills
Mendip Heights
The Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers an area of nearly 200 square kilometres. The Hills rise to a high plateau which includes Priddy, Charterhouse, Cheddar Gorge, Crook Peak and Wavering Down.
Glastonbury Tor
The Tor is the mystical centre of Avalon. Many of my pictures taken from the Mendip Hills show The Tor is the distance. These pictures show The Tor in close-up.
Brent Knoll
The Mount of Frogs as it was once known is an limestone out crop of the nearby Mendip Hills. Like Glastonbury Tor it provides a focal point in the backdrop of pictures of the levels.
