Towns & Villages
Glastonbury
Glastonbury is famous for its Tor, colourful character and the local music festival which bears its name. The Tor is visible for many miles in all directions and appears in the background of many of my photographs.
Meare
Meare sits in the centre of the reserves of the Somerset Levels. The fields around Meare provide large skies, large flocks of Lapwings and enormous swarms of Starlings.
Wells
The ancient, but tiny, city of Wells is a photographer's dream. The Cathedral, with its fantastic West Front, medieval Vicars' Close and moated Bishop's Palace, is an excellent starting point for any tour of the city.
Somerset Villages
The individual characters of the villages in Somerset derive from the surrounding landscape. For example, Priddy, the only village on the Mendip Plateau, has quite a different feel to villages located on the levels.
